Workshop Info, Senior Model, and My Little Cart…..

Workshops: Please go check out the page that says workshops!!

This is a 3 day INTENSE workshop and very hands on.  You will not be in a gigantic group where you are fighting to shoot.  8 photographers total to each workshop so it ensures you as much time to shoot and one on one time with me.  You will be doing 5 different photo shoots in 2 days.  You will get to shoot in full sun, open shade, sunsets and city lights etc.  Plus Sunday, is reserved for whatever you want to shoot. If you have a specific look you want to shoot we are going to cater to it. Michigan, on Sunday we are shooting Urban Kidz!  It will be so much fun!

You will not be sitting in a chair for very longYou will be out with your camera and lights and learning how to rock that off camera flash!!

I am also doing one on one’s too!  I’ve already had quite a few inquiries about this!

This is my other senior model.  She was sick the day we all went out.  We just stayed in town where I live.  I have such a hard time shooting in my town b/c I feel like I’ve shot here so much that I don’t want to shoot the same stuff all the time.  I usually drive about an hour just to get on location.

Oh, and here’s something I had a local woodworker in town make for me.  I like it for in the city shooting.  Not so much in the fields.

We are going to modify it a bit because if it’s the slightest bit windy it will blow over.

I did not come up with this idea.  I saw another photographer come up with something similar and I changed it a bit. I wanted something so I wouldn’t have to carry my vagabond for each time I wanted to move it.  I have a lot of problems with muscle spasms in my back/shoulder and it is not fun moving an 18 pound battery.

Lovely shots! Just wondering if you used the beauty dish on these or an umbrella? Also, do you use portraiture on most of your closeups? Very creamy skin tones.

She is gorgeous! Wow! And great that you are getting out there, even an hour away to get what you want! Good for the soul.

What’s your lens of choice for your shoots?

Great idea but it is the images that took my breath away Ali!

Great idea for the battery pack! That sucker is as heavy as a tombstone isn’t it?! I have the same issue with my back and shoulder. This may be something that I tinker with making something similar to this year!
